History/Production: The RG CH 500 Gamma is a “full blown” street legal replica of the Grand Prix motorcycle ridden to countless victories and multiple world championships at the hands of Barry Sheene, Franco Uncini and Marco Luccinclli.  Its closest competitor in street legal form was the Yamaha RZ 500 two stroke four but the Suzuki is widely regarded as the superior performer in part due to it being 50lbs lighter. Additionally, the Gama adhered much closer to the original race bike configuration and fewer compromises were made in the transition to street legal machine.

The RG CH 500 Gamma was never officially imported into the USA.  Those found in the USA today are typically sourced from Canada.

This Gamma was restored by recognized Gamma expert, Rick Lance and incorporates the internal upgrades and modifications he is widely known for.

Production: Over the 3-year 1985-1987 period a total of 9,284 RG 500’s were built. Also, 6213 units of the 397cc derivative, (known as the RG400) were produced exclusively for the Japanese market.
