History: The 300/365 Series was introduced at the Geneva Auto Show in 1966 and followed on from the successful 275 GTB series of 2 seat sports coupes. It utilized the chassis of the 275 GTB, the engine from the 330 GT 2+2, the nose from the 400 Superamerica and the tail from the 275 GTS-a combination that worked extremely well. While the GTC used the engine of the 330GT 2+2, it used the rear transaxle from the 275 GTB, thus providing a near perfect 50/50 weight distribution.

In 1969 Ferrari introduced the 365 GTC and the accompanying 365 GTS roadster. While almost visually identical to the 330 GTC (except for the air vents being moved from the fender flanks and relocated in the hood, just in front of the windshield), the drivetrain was greatly enhanced. It adopted the 4.4 litre engine (vs 4 litre) from the 365 California, providing an additional 20 hp and a considerable gain in torque (from 241lbs to 268 lbs). Brakes were also upgraded from Dunlop/Girling to ATE. Other rear end components had more in common with the following Daytona model than the preceding 300 GTC to which it was visually similar.

The 300/365 GTC models are often referred to as “the best all round Ferrari” with their under stated good looks, excellent proportions, visibility, handling and grand touring capabilities.

Production     300GTC/330 GTS production was 598 and 100 respectively.
365 GTC/GTS production only lasted one year only and consequently just 168 coupes and 20 spiders were built.
