History/Production: The RC30 first appeared in 1987. It was a road bike designed for the race track. It was based on the all-conquering factory RCF750 Endurance and F1 bike. Essentially a race bike with the necessities for to make it street legal-a concept very attractive to collectors.

RC30’s were not built on a production line but rather hand built by a small group of Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) employees. While based on Honda’s 750 V4, its special casings were machined to super fine tolerances and the components inside were pure racing-titanium conrods, 360 degree one-piece crank and gear driven camshafts.  The frame was all aluminum with the engine acting as a stressed member  

A total of 4752 machines were built over the 1987-1990 period. 1990 was the only year the RC30 was sold in United States with just 316 examples officially imported.
